Okay, so a long while back during my murder and mystery phase, I came up with a question that some people thought was crazy and would happen so rarely that it wasn't even worth contemplating. Well guess what people, IT HAPPENED!!! Muwaa haa haa I have been proven that my random questions aren't to be ignored! They're BRILLIANT!
So my original question was, if a dead body was do be found on the boarder for two jurisdictions who would take over the investigation? While in the US of A it wouldn't be so much a problem since we have county, city, state and Federal and anything that cross state lines goes into Federal what if it were to happen between countries?
Thus it brings us to the news of the moment, looks like the Dutch and Belgians are going at this same debate. Woman's body found in a house that straddles the borderline (I wonder how she gets post delivered) now they're duking it out as to who gets to investigate the crime. My theory is where ever she pays her taxes, makes sense doesn't it? But what if it weren't her house she was found in you ask, well then why not set up a team and collaborate on this? But no, it would seem that the two countries will be fighting over this one. . .
