March 5
Today is the day! What a day!
So our morning started off with a "WE'RE LATE!" what a surprise... Off to the nail salon, I went first so that Walter can pick me up while Terry finishes her and can run to different errands, I had my fill of being driven around town at a dizzying pace and finally put my foot down with a firm NO THANK YOU -desu! While at the salon, I met the cutest little girl "Jennifer" and made origami with my spare paper. I had fallen asleep the night before without getting done with my origami so I had to lug everything with me wherever I went. It was the Elephants, they were the last to be finished. By the time Walter and I got back Terry had gotten lunch and was just a few minutes behind us.
Lunch of fried chicken and potato wedges was followed by a fury of activity as Terry had to get ready for her hair appointment, Walter & I had to scramble to get the place cards ready to be delivered to Casanova for the reception dinner, all before my makeup appointment at 3pm. Let's just say we "almost" made it in time. I was able to finish the Elephants by 1pm and do the last 5 pages of the scrapbook, pack an overnight bag, shower and change into my wedding cloths and help Walter finish up at 3pm. Off we went! (Oh yes, thanks to "The Aunts" who came by to pick up everything to be delivered to Casanova we weren't as late as we could have been) We arrived, I had a makeup session *shudder* I'm quite clueless when it comes to these these things. After that, Walter rushed us to the hotel to get ready for the photo shoot. The man for got to shave, ha ha. It was very busy in a very crowded area, I must say that I nearly swooned at the sight of so many well dressed good looking gentlemen. And the ladies were dressed like they're attending a ball, very lovely sight.
Major scrambling around for last minute items, ipods that has a certain song, ipods that work, batteries, etc etc. Then off to the wedding we go!
Since the wedding photographer charges by the hour, it was a major rush to get all the photos they want in. In the background I was busy with Dario and Katherine trying to get the ipod to work, just when it all looks dim and we'd all have to hum "Cannon in D", Andrea come out with an iSpeaker thingy. Three cheers for Andrea!
Wedding went off without much more excitement, couldn't really hear the music but *shrug* oh and the funny thing was you really couldn't hear the vows or anything. This is what it sounded like "Do you Terry take Walter to be your *wave crashes* to have and to hold in si- *wave crashes* till *wave crashes*". Yeah, the wave crashing pretty much drowned out everything but since we're all intelligent beings who watch way too much movies, we can fill in the blank. Did I mention that the bridal march song was "Over the Rainbow" the good version you know the one from the ending of "Finding Forrester" good song, dl it!
After the wedding most of us headed up to Casanova for the reception. I rode with Cousin Karen and Roger, since we did not have a GPS system like Uncle James, he took the lead. That was the longest ride in a very DIZZYING way, after talking with some locals, it seems uncle James took the long way up. We made it in one piece with only 1 mis-turn to all is good. Walter and Terry had booked the whole place for the night which was good.
The decoration that the Aunts and Terry's Co-worker did earlier that day was fabulous, it really transforms the place. The strategically placed photos of Walter and Terry taken in Taiwan was placed through out the restaurant, they made a little place for my scrapbook and flower everywhere! BEAUTIMOUS!
End of the night: Everyone liked my scrapbook! m(._.)mアリガト
Oh yes, I tried to avoid catching the bouquet by standing off to the side (works EVERY TIME!) Didn't dance cause I really don't know how, my limited repertoire includes the square patterned waltzy thing, a line dance, a circle dance, and even some salsa (thanks to Stephen's invitation). Since they weren't playing any classical, country, folk, nor Latin songs I was safely out of the ball park.
I was burning up by the evening's end and could barely make it home. Took some meds and fell asleep almost in the shower, I seriously sat in the cold water for as long as I could. At least I made it through the night eh?
