Day 7

March 6th

Most guest left this morning. I had stayed the night at my parent's rental so I helped check them out of the place. Uncle and Aunt was leaving around noon so we all met up with Terry 'n Walter for lunch. Bernard, being the only one left from a large group from San Francisco came to lunch too. He had a nice large PT Cruiser which came to good use for us to transfer luggage from Uncle's car.

After parting company, we went to whale watch. It was an hour before we can begin to buy ticket and another hour after that before the ship takes off, 2 hours in the sun to kill. I went into the stores to pick up some postcards. By the time I returned Yun and Phil were playing a card game called "Twos" Bernard and I join in (aka Revolution), fun game. We played until well into the tour guides land presentation. Funny thing that happened, Terry and Walter had forgotten to include themselves while booking the tickets, thankfully some folks did not show up and they were able to purchase their tickets.

We saw tons of humpback whales. There was very little inactivity, we were even mugged by three of them. The rule about that is since humpback whales are listed as endangered the ship cannot get within so many feet of it, but there's no rule about them approaching us. Three of them swam around us and under us. The guides threw some mic down in the water so we can hear them communicate, sounded like a NASCAR race to me.

After we returned and we ate then off to bed! More meds for me.
